THE BEST BITE RETURNS Pastrami on Rye Katz’s Deli, Lower East Side NY Allegedly Katz’s Deli on Houston and Ludlow is the oldest deli in town, and maybe the original home of the Pastrami Sandwich.  I’ve been a big fan of the Pastrami Sandwich for the past 11 years but i have never experienced something like this.  Picking the Best Bite was easy for every bite was exceptional.  Even down to the sandwich making.  At Katz’s they slice the meat hot off the steamer.  While the sandwich is being made they give you little bites of pastrami.  But undoubtedly the best bite is this here; the perfect combination and ratio of rye, mustard, and meat.
